  • Leopard TREK riders lead the peloton in honor of the memory of their fallen teammate Wouter Weylandt.
  • It doesn't take long before an escape has formed...
  • With as quiet as they have been, biding their time, it is not surprising to find Garmin's Hushovd in the break.
  • RadioShack has controlled the front of the peloton and will do so the rest of the day. Here Ben King leads the peloton through a twisty descent.
  • It seems Pipp values dry feet, he shows off his water crossing skills as he drops back to his team car.
  • Henderson has worn the golden jersey well today, but he's no climber...
  • Irizar is now the RadioShack man on point as the peloton starts the Mt. Hamilton climb.
  • Back in the peloton, Taylor Phinney seems to be holding his own so far...
  • ...as Vandevelde and his teammates are just behind RadioShack - keeping their man Zabriskie close to the front.
  • The break is fragmenting on Mt. Hamilton but Pedersen tries to stay away.
  • Zabriskie and Vandevelde stay hydrated as they climb Mt. Hamilton.
  • RadioShack has swallowed up the chase near the top of Mt. Hamilton.
  • Hesjedal and Martens have descended away from the group on Mt. Hamilton.
  • Zubeldia is now on point for RadioShack as they continue to control the race.
  • Job done, Zubeldia and Muravyev fall back as the select group 35 or so beging the Sierra Road climb.
