...and he powered his way to first place and a new course record of 30:32!

  • Jakob Fuglsang was 53 seconds off the pace, good for 7th today.
  • Not known for his time trialing, Chris Horner was able to manage his losses and retain the lead in the GC... he finished only 51 seconds off the winning time for sixth.
  • Maarten Tjallingii took 5th on the day, 49 off the pace.
  • Peter Velits was 4th on the day, 48 seconds back.
  • The American upcomer Tejay Van Garderen powered his way to the podium, 40 seconds off the top step; third on the day.
  • Levi wanted the 4-peat at Solvang, and was up by 1 second at the split, but faded to finish 14 seconds off the pace for second.
  • Zabriskie was looking fast as he entered the last corner...

  • Dave Zabriskie's son Waylon received the kisses for the top step of the podium today.
  • Horner is all smiles, with 38 seconds in hand over teammate Leipheimer, and 1:38 over Sutherland - he's in a good position to win the overall.
